Happy Spring~
You all sure know how to make a girl feel good!!!! I simply can't believe the wonderful response I had to my feature on Nester's Blog yesterday! I am so glad that you all love my pillows so much. I've been floating around on clouds all morning.
I had more than a few people mention that they'd like to see a nest pillow. You clever things, you. I had a nest pillow in my plans, yes I did. But I have a question for you my dears! Would you prefer a nest with little blue eggs, or the plain brown nest? Both? What do you think?

I had more than a few people mention that they'd like to see a nest pillow. You clever things, you. I had a nest pillow in my plans, yes I did. But I have a question for you my dears! Would you prefer a nest with little blue eggs, or the plain brown nest? Both? What do you think?
And since we're on the subject of nests and spring-y things, Happy First Day of Spring! To celebrate Spring, I have a week's worth of spring-y ideas and decorating to share with you all next week. Come back and see what I have up my sleeve!!

To get started, today I wanted to share with you a little spring spruce-up that I gave my library bookcase. I know this isn't a unique idea...I've seen it many times before, but it sure made a fun impact. I just went to Michael's and picked me up some of the new Anna Griffin scrapbook paper (you know I love me some Anna Griffin paper!) This is so pretty, it's a botanical print done all in red and white. I just taped the sheets to the back of each of the shelves, and VOILA! a spring-y, pretty facelift for my little bookcase! To further the impact, I also switched out some of my accessories to some garden urns and a little garden statuary cherub and I turned some of the books so that you see the white pages instead of the multicolored spines. Makes the whole thing seem ready for the sun!

Absolutely love your ideas. It's amazing how something so little can change so much. Well done.
Both! I could use it in most of the rooms. I think I like the nest idea the best for the pillows. Very fun!
Both! I love the blue eggs though! Ok, so now I want to change my comment from yesterdays post. I want the nest pillow!
I love them both! I lean more towards the colored eggs though. They make me happy! Love the bookcase transformation too. Great idea!
Happy Spring! I was thinking a nest pillow would be awesome but didn't say it! I like them both, some people that don't have blue might enjoy having the neutral theme available, I would make both! :)
I love your new shelf redo! :)
Nest pillow!? Why yes please! :) The the bookshelf redo, I need to do something like that with my hutch.
:)R.
Oh that nest pillow would be daring! I like the blue egg one and it would be great in my bedroom as it's blue. But, since not everyone has blue maybe the plain would sell better for you?
Hugs,
Joanne
Mmmmwhaaaa!!! Love ya! Happy first day of spring to you! I'm covered in paint. Spring nesting gone bad... real bad. See you Tuesday.
I spy lovely thing!

Happy Spring! I think both pillows would be beautiful! I love your bookcase idea - love those little touches that help lighten things up for spring!
Fresh, cheerful, lovely and simple! Great idea!!
the book case looks fantastic!!
I love little robin eggs and my sister's name is robin so I would probably get her the blue egg pillow. For my room, though, I would prefer the white eggs...
Make both!!
I bought scrapbook paper yesterday! Just waiting for the time to do something with it!
They're both beautiful!
Great idea with the scrapbook paper. I'm trying to talk myself into painting the insides of my kitchen cabinets sometime this spring. I think I'll try some scrapbook paper in a bookcase first to get me started.

I like the brown one best- Thanks for the inspiration- I'm off to tackle the shelves in my home.
I like the nest with the blue eggs the best. :)
I love the scrapbook paper on the shelf. I have some built-ins around my fireplace in the living room and I was planning to do that. I'm glad you said you TAPED it on there. I was thinking about how I was going to do it. Duh! :D
I would do one of each pillow -- variety is the spice of life!
I would make both. I would love either one! Bookcase looks great too!
I'm new to your blog---love it. I am so practical that I would choose the white eggs. That way I could move the pillow from room to room and it would work wherever I put it!
I absolutely LOVE the nest pillow idea. I think you need to do both of them.
Your bookshelf looks beautiful and definitely ready for Spring!
I love that bookcase makeover! Stunning!

P.S. I'm celebrating 100 posts with some giveaways: 3 signed photos and 1 large chandelier decal from Wilson Graphics. I thought you might be interested! :)
I love Anna griffin stuff too! That paper looks so great on the bookcase!
Love the nest with the blue eggs!!
What a difference a little paper can make..love it!! Happy spring and happy weekend!
I love the blue eggs! I also think it would be LOVELY to have a little birdie perched on the side of the nest. I have an obsession with little birdies lately!
I love the blue b/c it adds a pop of color wherever you put it... and I happen to have a room with blue accents that it would be perfect in. But the brown would be perfect almost anywhere. So I'm really no help to you. Haha!
I Love the blue egg and the tan egg! Too cute..if I had to pick one I would probably go with the blue for a little accent color. :)
LOVE this blog and looking forward to reading through your past posts!
blessings,
stephanie

Happy Spring Wendy! You know, when Pottery Barn first started turning their books backwards it totally drove me crazy! Now, I find myself doing it in every room. It is funky and really does brighten the shelves. Of course, I am totally loving the paper backing on your shelves too!

i love BOTH nest pillows - especially the blue - just a little pop of color. But the all brown and cream would be great. You know us girls like having options! I can't wait to see what you have next week!
Love the book case idea!
I think I like the brown nest with regular eggs.
I really like the palin eggs.I know boring but they look so charmimg that way.

I love both pillows too much to decide. :) And I really love the bookcase makeover!

I am so happy that I found you through the Nester!!! I love your blog!
Funny how a little touch of blue makes such a big difference in the look of the nest, but I do love both. Too hard to decide.
Those nest pillows will be so cute! I think either would be great!
I love the bookshelf redo! That paper is so pretty.
I like both nests. They look great. And I love what you did to your bookcase. I think I'm going to have to copy you and put some scrapbook paper to use on my bookcase. Great idea!
I love that nest with the blue eggs, I can't wait to see what you'll have up for us next week.
I have to say I like the robins egg blue in the nest. They are all very pretty though.
I love them both!!! How does a girl pick when they are both so sweet~
i think i'm in the minority, but i prefer the non-blue eggs. i just feel they would complement ANY space. i'm so glad you were thinkin' of a nest pillow too:)
i vote for both! they are both cool in their own way.
as you know, i love the bookcases backed with decorative paper. such an easy facelift, isn't it?
xo
